Privacy Policy

Effective date: February 18, 2026

HabitFlow ("we", "our", or "the app") is a habit tracking application developed by an independent developer. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Data: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google profile name and email.

Habit Data: Your habits, completion records, notes, streaks, challenges, and timer sessions are stored to provide the app's core functionality.

Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system version, and app version for crash reporting and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Data

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored locally on your device and, if you create an account, synced to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) servers. Firebase uses industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

HabitFlow integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

5. Advertising

Free-tier users see advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings or when prompted by the consent dialog. Premium subscribers do not see ads.

6. Biometric Data

If you enable App Lock, the app uses your device's biometric authentication (fingerprint or face recognition). Biometric data is processed entirely on your device by the operating system and is never transmitted to our servers.

7. Notifications

Habit reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We do not send marketing push notifications. You can disable reminders at any time in Settings.

8. Data Retention & Account Deletion

Your data is retained as long as you maintain an account. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.

How to delete your account and data:

  1. Open the HabitFlow app on your device.
  2. Navigate to the Settings tab.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account".
  4. Confirm the deletion.

What is deleted: When you delete your account, your profile, authentication records, and all habit data stored on our servers are permanently and immediately deleted. Local data can be cleared by uninstalling the app.

If you have uninstalled the app and wish to request account deletion, please contact us at the email below.

9. Children's Privacy

HabitFlow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. For GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California) requests, contact us at the email below.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app and on this page with an updated effective date.
